WHAT IS A LIQUID CULTURE SYRINGE?
Innovations make growing mushrooms easier and easier, and the Liquid Culture Syringe shows that again. Such a syringe is full of spores of your favourite mushroom, accelerating the growth of mycelium. So you get a potent harvest, from which you reap the benefits. So growing mushrooms with a Liquid Culture Syringe is very easy and works very well too!
How do you use a Liquid Culture Syringe?
It's child's play, that's how we would describe inoculating substrate using a Liquid Culture Syringe. The mycelial network multiplies rapidly, giving you a wonderful crop of mushrooms. Of course, you then have to use the Liquid Culture Syringe properly, but fortunately that is very easy. Simply follow this step-by-step plan and enjoy your new mushrooms:
- Sterilisation: First of all, you need to sterilise the substrate mixture. This will kill fungi and bacteria that might stop the mushrooms from growing. To do this, heat the substrate mixture in an autoclave or pasteurise it with steam.
- Inoculation of the substrate: Next, you need to incubate the substrate. You do well to use a combination of vermiculite and brown rice flour for this, for example. The substrate should be moist, but not soggy. Then take a spore syringe with your favourite mushroom spores.
- Inoculation process: You need to shake the spore syringe well to distribute the spores evenly. You then use the syringe to apply the mushroom spores over the substrate.
- Incubation: You have now inoculated the substrate with spores, allowing you to start incubation. To do this, place the substrate in a warm and dark room. The temperature here should always be between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
- Harvest: The mushroom spores colonise after a few weeks and then develop into mushrooms. It is always important to keep an eye on the substrate in this process. Watch for signs of contamination and humidity, for example. Do not harvest the mushrooms until they are fully developed.
By the way, it is important to note that you have to use the Liquid Culture Syringe within two months. It should also be stored in a cool and dark location, possibly in the fridge. In addition, the syringe should not be exposed to UV light.
Which Liquid Culture Syringes can you use?
We offer many different mushrooms in our shop that you can grow yourself using a Liquid Culture Syringe. Below are a few options:
- Albino JMF: You probably know the original JMF, but the Albino JMF is also becoming increasingly popular. This strain is actually called the Psilocybe Cubensis Albino JMF (Jedi Mind Fuck) and is very potent. The Albino JMF Liquid Culture Spray is also popular for its unusual appearance, with white fruiting bodies.
- Hillbilly Pumpkin: The Hillbilly Pumpkin Liquid Culture Syringe produces unusual pumpkin-coloured hats. These mushroom spores also grow very vigorously, making them popular among growers. This is also due to its robust mycelium.
- Jack Frost: The Jack Frost mushroom is a cross between the True Albino Teacher and the Albino Penis Envy. This therefore ensures that you grow attractive mushrooms with strong effects with the Jack Frost Liquid Culture Syringe, without having to put much effort into it.
- WhiteBilly: Psilocybe Cubensis WhiteBilly is the albino variant of the Hillbilly strain. The WhiteBilly Liquid Culture Syringe therefore results in pale fruiting bodies that generally grow reliably and quickly. So these mushrooms are not only visually striking, but also perform well.
- Cordyceps: Cordyceps is a well-known mushroom that is widely used in traditional medicine in Asian countries, among others. You can easily grow this mushroom these days using the Cordyceps Liquid Culture Syringe. Enjoy the supposed medicinal properties of Cordyceps after harvesting, but of course you should always be careful when using mushrooms.
Is there not a mushroom you want to use? No problem! You will find many more Liquid Culture Syringes in our shop. So chances are that there is a mushroom strain in between that you are a fan of.
