Maitake Powder (Grifola frondosa) – 100 grams consists of finely ground maitake, a mushroom with the scientific name Grifola frondosa. In Dutch, this mushroom is also known as ‘eikhaas’. The powder is easy to mix with water or another drink. For example, you can add it to mushroom coffee, a latte or any other hot or cold drink.

What is maitake?

Maitake grows wild at the foot of old oak trees, including in Japan, China, Europe and North America. The name comes from Japanese: ‘mai’ means ‘to dance’ and ‘take’ means ‘mushroom’. The wavy, overlapping caps are reminiscent of dancing butterflies.

Maitake naturally contains polysaccharides, including beta-glucans.

Directions

Mix the powder with water or another drink, such as coffee, a latte or a smoothie. Start with half a teaspoon per day and gradually increase to a maximum of 2 teaspoons per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Storage advice

Store in a sealed container in a cool, dry place, out of reach of young children.
