Freeze-dried acai powder

Freeze-dried acai powder is made from the acai berry, the fruit of the acai palm (Euterpe oleracea). To produce this powder, the flesh of the berry is freeze-dried, without the skin or seeds.

What is açaí?

The açaí palm is native to the eastern Amazon region, particularly in Brazil, where it grows in swamps and floodplains. The berry is small, round and blackish-purple, resembling a grape; the stone accounts for around 60 to 80 per cent of the fruit. The name ‘açaí’ comes from a Tupi word meaning ‘fruit that expels water’. In the Amazon floodplains, the berry has been a staple food since the 18th century.

Directions for use

Take 2 to 3 grams per day. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
