Matcha Powder

Matcha has attracted a great deal of attention in recent years, and with good reason. This special product has a lot to offer thanks to its unique production method. Matcha is made from the leaves of the green tea plant (Camellia sinensis), which are grown in the shade for around three to four weeks. This encourages the plants to produce more theanine and caffeine, as well as amino acids and chlorophyll.

Matcha powder is then stripped of its stems and veins. It is sold as loose tea, in tea bags, or as a concentrated powder. 100% matcha powder is packed with antioxidants, caffeine and theanine, as well as minerals and amino acids, thanks to its concentrated form.

Usage

Matcha is an excellent alternative to coffee or regular tea. However, it can also be added to both sweet and savoury dishes. To prepare matcha tea, place some matcha powder in a sieve and sift it into a special matcha bowl. Then add some hot water and use a matcha whisk to whisk the powder vigorously until it has completely dissolved. This creates a layer of foam. Next, pour the contents into a mug or cup and add a little more hot water or warm milk to taste.
