Passion Flower Indian Elements

Passion Flower – Indian Elements is dried passion flower herb (Passiflora caerulea) for passion flower tea, from the Indian Elements brand. This species is also known as blue passion flower.

What is passion flower?

Passiflora caerulea is native to South America. It is a vigorous climbing plant that can grow to 10 metres or more with its tendrils and is hardy to approximately −10 °C. The flowers are blue and white with a striking corona of blue, white, yellow and brown filaments; the species name caerulea means 'blue'. The name passion flower refers to the Passion of Christ, as parts of the flower were seen as symbols of the Passion.

Ingredients

• Passion flower (Passiflora caerulea)

Use

Use 1 to 2 teaspoons (1 to 4 grams) of passion flower for 1 cup of tea. Pour boiling hot water over it and allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain the tea or carefully pour it into another cup.

Storage advice

Store this product in a cool, dark place, such as a kitchen cupboard, and keep out of reach of children.
