Guayusa (Ilex guayusa) is an evergreen tree that grows naturally in the Amazon region of Ecuador, Peru and parts of Colombia. Its leaves have been part of the traditional culture of various indigenous communities for generations and are now appreciated worldwide as an aromatic herbal tea.

Guayusa is known for its mild, fresh and slightly herbal flavour. Compared to yerba mate, the tea is less bitter and is therefore popular as an alternative to other caffeinated drinks.

Usage

This pack contains 50 grams of carefully dried Guayusa leaves. Use approximately 2 grams (1 tablespoon) per cup and allow the leaves to steep for 5 to 10 minutes in water at approximately 90–95 °C.

Store this product in a cool, dry and dark place, for example in a kitchen cupboard. Keep out of reach of children.
