When setting up, always follow the instructions supplied with the grow kit. Ensure you work as hygienically as possible by washing your hands and arms beforehand and cleaning the work surface thoroughly. Clean gloves and a face mask can help minimise the risk of contamination during set-up.

First, soak the grow tray in water for approximately 12 hours as per the manual, then drain off the excess water. Next, place the grow kit in the grow bag with approximately 150 ml of water. Fold the top of the bag closed without covering the micron filter and secure it with the paperclip provided.

Place the grow kit outdoors, away from direct sunlight and away from radiators or other direct sources of heat. Keep the bag closed until the first pre-pins become visible. Once these have developed, follow the Mondo instructions for ventilating and moistening the grow bag.

Do not spray directly onto the substrate or the mushrooms. If necessary, moisten the inside of the grow bag and then close it again. A stable environment and careful handling are important for good development.
